History

Agape Baptist Church is an English Ministry division of the parent church, Agape Korean Baptist Church.  Agape Korean Baptist Church was first established in 1993 under Rev. James Youngbae Ahn.  The ministry initially focused on the first Korean-American immigration generation who mainly spoke Korean as their primary language.  The ministry helped many immigrant Koreans in the Chicagolands to help find encouragement and support through providing biblical teaching of God's words and facilitating fellowship with other immigrants.

In this original ministry was the youth group, children of the first generation immigrants.  Over the years, the youth group transformed itself into a college ministry then into a young adjult ministry.

After 15 years in the making, English Ministry has a vibrant worship team, dynamic Bible Study groups, ESL program and powerful messages preached on Sundays to provide spiritual and practical guidance to members' daily lives.
